Trump: Iranian vessels will only be allowed to transit the Strait of Hormuz for civilian purposes
Washington, July 14 (Hibya) – U.S. President Donald Trump announced that following U.S. military operations, the Strait of Hormuz has been opened to all vessels, while Iranian ships will only be permitted to transit for civilian purposes.
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that following operations carried out by the U.S. military, the Strait of Hormuz has been opened to all maritime traffic except that Iranian vessels will only be allowed to transit for civilian purposes.
Trump also said that, as part of trade and investment talks with Middle Eastern countries, the United States had decided to remove the 20 percent reimbursement fee it had been seeking.
Trump argued that countries in the region would make historic levels of investment in the United States, claiming these investments would create new factories, facilities and high-paying jobs.
