Trump targets Democrats and immigration policies in Georgia
Washington, October 17 (Hibya) - US President Donald Trump claimed during remarks in Georgia that Democrats wanted to reshape the Supreme Court in their favor and restrict the right to bear arms. Trump criticized previous border policies, citing the murder of Laken Riley.
US President Donald Trump criticized Democrats over immigration policies and debates about the composition of the US Supreme Court during remarks in Georgia. Trump alleged that Democrats wanted to reshape the Supreme Court in their favor, claiming that their aim was to advance open-border policies and restrict rights protected under the Second Amendment.
Trump said, "Democrats want to reshape the Supreme Court in their favor because they want open borders and they want to take away your Second Amendment rights. But the proud people of Georgia will not allow that."
Trump also criticized immigration policies, alleging that Democrats had "brought sadistic illegal immigrant gang members and cartel members into the country to loot, rape and murder."
Citing the murder of 22-year-old University of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, Trump said Riley had been attacked and killed by an undocumented immigrant linked to the Tren de Aragua gang. Trump argued that the murder resulted from the previous administration's open-border policies, saying, "This monster was released because of cruel open-border policies, and Laken paid for it with her life."
Trump said he had promised Riley's family during his election campaign that he would deliver justice. He stated that on his first day in office, he signed a proclamation under the Alien Enemies Act aimed at removing the Tren de Aragua gang from the country and designated the gang as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.
