US President Donald Trump announced that the agreement on tariffs with China has been finalized and is subject to the approval of President Xi and himself.

In his statement, Trump said: “Our agreement with China is complete, subject to final approval by President Xi and myself. All magnetic materials and any needed rare earth elements will be supplied upfront by China. Likewise, we will provide China with the agreed items, including allowing Chinese students to access our universities and colleges. We are charging a total of 55% in tariffs; China is charging 10%. Our relationship is excellent.”
