Tsahkna: It is important to start preparing now for the day peace comes
Tallinn, November 3 (Hibya) – The Estonian Defence Forces will participate in the Koalicja exercise in Poland to test whether a multinational force is ready to be deployed to Ukraine following a peace agreement.
Commenting on the exercise, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated that Russia has not yet demonstrated a genuine willingness to end its war of aggression, saying, "It is important to start preparing now for the day peace comes."
Emphasizing that Ukraine needs strong security guarantees to prevent Russia from threatening its sovereignty and security again, Tsahkna noted that preventing future Russian aggression is not only in Ukraine's interest but is also "vital to the security of all of Europe."
