Tsahkna: Nuclear safety is not a battlefield
Tallinn, October 1 (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated that Russia’s attacks have deprived the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant of external power supply for more than a week.
In his statement, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna emphasized that nuclear safety is not a battlefield. He said: “Russia’s reckless attacks have left Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, the largest in Europe, without external power supply for more than a week.”
He noted that the facility has survived only thanks to emergency diesel generators, which were never intended for long-term use. Tsahkna added: “Russia must end its nuclear terror, end the occupation of Zaporizhzhia, and return the plant to Ukraine.”
Tsahkna also declared that they stand with Ukraine.
