Tsahkna: Our support for Ukraine must remain unwavering
Tallinn, August 20 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna called for continued support for Ukraine, saying that 12 people were killed and 40 others were injured in Russia's attack on Kyiv.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said Russia had carried out one of its heaviest attacks on Kyiv since the start of the full-scale war.
Tsahkna said the attack, involving ballistic and cruise missiles as well as drones, deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure. He stated that 12 people were killed and 40 others were injured, while residential buildings, a school and a children's hospital were also damaged.
Tsahkna said Russia's campaign of terror knows no bounds, arguing that its aim is destruction, fear and the systematic elimination of civilian life.
Tsahkna stressed that political, military and economic support for Ukraine must remain unwavering and called on the international community to continue isolating Russia, increasing sanctions and accelerating accountability efforts.
