Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that the dispute concerning judicial institutions could be resolved without the need for a constitutional amendment and called on President Karol Nawrocki to recognize the judges legally elected by the Sejm, the lower house of the Polish parliament.

Tusk argued that Nawrocki had chosen a forced confrontation instead of compromise, warning that this approach could have serious consequences for Poland.

Emphasizing that a democratic state governed by the rule of law would not yield to pressure, Tusk criticized the positions of Law and Justice (PiS), Konfederacja, Grzegorz Braun and Nawrocki. Tusk alleged that these political initiatives were supported by powerful foreign forces.
