Two new Banksy artworks emerge in London
Stockholm, December 23 (Hibya) – The mysterious street artist Banksy has confirmed that he is behind the new mural that appeared in Bayswater, West London.
The artwork depicts two children lying on the ground, wearing Wellington boots, coats and winter bobble hats; one of the children is pointing towards the sky.
The mural, painted on a wall above a row of garages on Queen's Mews, was first noticed on Monday.
Banksy is also responsible for the same mural that appeared on Friday outside the Centre Point tower in central London; however, his representatives confirmed only the Bayswater piece.
The artist, whose identity has not been publicly disclosed, announced the new work by uploading an image to his Instagram account on Monday afternoon.
Speaking about the Centre Point mural, artist Daniel Lloyd-Morgan told the BBC that he believes the location was chosen to draw attention to child homelessness.
“Everyone is having a good time, but at Christmas there are many children who are not,” he said.
