Ukrainian President Zelensky met with UN Secretary-General Guterres
Kyiv, September 30 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. Zelensky said: "We discussed the International Coalition Summit for the Return of Ukrainian Children and the resolution that Ukraine has prepared for the General Assembly."
He emphasized that they rely on the world’s support for the return of all Ukrainian children abducted by Russia, adding that the draft resolution will be presented this year and that they are working with countries to secure support. In his statement on the meeting, Zelensky added:
"We also discussed the situation at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, occupied by the Russians. It is currently experiencing the longest power outage so far: seven days without electricity, with power grids destroyed by artillery shelling. It is important for the world to be aware of the possible consequences. We expect an appropriate response.
We also discussed the situation in Gaza and the U.S. initiative – President Trump’s attempt to establish peace. This is a strong initiative, and we are ready to contribute to making peace proposals work. Thank you!"
