President Zelensky expressed his gratitude to Secretary Austin for a new defense aid package worth $400 million, which includes ammunition, military equipment, and weapons for Ukraine.

During the meeting, critical defense priorities were discussed, such as Ukraine's air defense capabilities, preparations for the winter period, and the expansion of the use of long-range weapons against Russian military targets. Zelensky stated:

"We also focused on efforts to increase the production of strike drones, cruise missiles, artillery shells, and air defense systems. Austin reaffirmed that the US will continue to provide security support as part of our ongoing defense agreement."

Zelensky added: "We are grateful to President Biden, both parties in the US Congress, and the American people for all the support provided since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion."
