UN commemorates 22 staff members killed in Baghdad attack
New York, August 19 (Hibya) - The United Nations (UN) commemorated 22 staff members who were killed in the bombing of the UN headquarters in Baghdad on August 19, 2003, on the 23rd anniversary of the attack. On World Humanitarian Day, the UN also thanked humanitarian workers who carry out their duties while risking their lives.

While commemorating the staff members who lost their lives in the attack, the UN also highlighted the work of humanitarian personnel serving under difficult conditions around the world.
