Indexes on United States (US) stock markets ended the day lower.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 116.38 points, or 0.22 percent, to 53,343.40 points. During the day, the index reached a high of 53,478.76 and a low of 53,256.34 points.

The S&P 500 Index fell 53.30 points, or 0.69 percent, to 7,691.76 points. During the day, the index moved between a high of 7,713.95 and a low of 7,688.63 points.

The Nasdaq Index declined 355.20 points, or 1.33 percent, to 26,289.71 points. Intraday trading recorded a high of 26,422.50 and a low of 26,266.68 points.

The Nasdaq 100 Index also fell 504.42 points, or 1.68 percent, to 29,490.96 points. Throughout the day, the index traded between a high of 29,677.29 and a low of 29,425.09 points.
