US and global markets close mostly lower
Istanbul, October 30 (Hibya) - Stock indices across the Americas and global markets showed a predominantly negative trend.
In US markets, the Nasdaq index recorded a significant decline of 1.38% to 26,184.72 points, while the Dow Jones index fell 0.25% to 52,342.56 points. In Europe, Germany's benchmark DAX index posted a strong gain of 1.31%, reaching 26,039.68 points. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 VIX index, which reflects market expectations of volatility and risk sentiment, rose 1.71% to 17.20 points.
