US forces destroy Iran-linked boat in the Gulf of Oman
Washington, October 14 (Hibya) - US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that on October 6, an Iran-linked boat reported to be surveilling and targeting US Navy ships in the Gulf of Oman was destroyed.
In a statement issued by US Central Command, it was noted that on October 6, US forces destroyed an Iran-linked boat operating surveillance and targeting activities in the Gulf of Oman.
The statement said that before the boat was destroyed, the crew was safely evacuated and efforts are ongoing for their repatriation.
CENTCOM claimed that over the past seven months, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has continued to indiscriminately target thousands of civilian mariners and US Navy warships transiting regional waters.
