US redirects 144 commercial vessels amid naval blockade of Iran
Washington, October 31 (Hibya) - The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that 144 commercial vessels had been redirected as part of the enforcement of the naval blockade against Iran.
The United States Central Command stated that the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) was supporting the enforcement of the naval blockade against Iran.
The statement noted that a US Navy MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter took off from the aircraft carrier's flight deck. It added that, as of October 31, US forces had redirected 144 commercial vessels to ensure compliance with the blockade regulations.
