US stock markets rise
Istanbul, October 2 (Hibya) - Major indices traded on US stock markets ended the day higher.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.04 percent to 50,926.56 points. The S&P 500 also gained 0.19 percent, reaching 7,666.45 points.
The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 0.04 percent to 26,871.60 points, while the Nasdaq 100 Index gained 0.31 percent to trade at 30,501.56 points.
In other stock markets across the Americas, Brazil's Bovespa Index rose 0.46 percent to 187,197 points, while Peru's S&P Lima General Index gained 0.71 percent to 34,836.62 points. In contrast, Canada's S&P/TSX Index fell 0.23 percent to 35,154.76 points, Mexico's S&P/BMV IPC Index declined 0.60 percent to 63,828.60 points, and Colombia's COLCAP Index dropped 0.75 percent to 2,530.05 points. Ecuador's Guayaquil Select Index remained flat at 151.33 points.
