Von der Leyen: We are providing Ukraine with 6 billion euros in drone support against Russia
Brussels, May 14 (Hibya) - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that a new 6 billion euro drone support package for Ukraine is close to completion following Russia’s intense drone attacks on Ukraine.
European Commission President Leyen made statements regarding Russia’s latest attacks on Ukraine.
Von der Leyen stated that Russia had carried out one of the longest and most intense drone attacks, emphasizing that civilians were targeted and that major destruction had occurred.
Claiming that Russia was “openly mocking” diplomatic initiatives, Von der Leyen said that the European Union would continue its support for Ukraine.
The statement noted that the new 6 billion euro drone support package for Ukraine is nearing completion and that economic pressure on Russia will be increased through new sanctions.
