Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Dr. Burak Uzel, an Internal Medicine specialist at Ataköy Medicana Hospital, explained the reasons behind this condition.

Dr. Uzel noted that one of the main mechanisms of action of weight-loss injections is delaying gastric emptying, which prolongs satiety but causes food to remain longer in the stomach and digestive system.

He stated that consuming sulfur-rich foods such as eggs and garlic, or foods containing amino acids like methionine and cysteine, may lead to the formation of sulfur gas in the stomach, creating a sensation similar to a rotten egg smell in the mouth.

According to Dr. Uzel, this side effect is usually more pronounced in the first days of treatment and after injections, occurs in about 2–7% of patients, and decreases over time as the body adapts to the medication.

He emphasized that the condition does not pose a life-threatening risk and said that limiting sulfur-rich foods in the diet may help reduce the complaint.
