According to Al Jazeera, US President Donald Trump has been informed of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s proposal to extend the timeline by two weeks regarding Iran.
The report stated that Sharif called on the United States to extend the agreement period by two weeks and urged Iran to keep the Strait of Hormuz open during the same period.
In a statement cited by Axios and attributed to White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, it was noted that Trump had been briefed on the proposal and that “a response will be forthcoming.”
