Geneva, May 14 (Hibya) - World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus reported that escalating violence in Sudan continues to cost civilian lives and hinder the delivery of life-saving health services.
WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus highlighted that escalating violence in Sudan continues to cost civilian lives, including children, and hinder the delivery of life-saving health services, stating, "The latest bombardment near Médecins Sans Frontières' children's hospital was horrific."
Calling on all parties to protect civilians, healthcare workers, and healthcare facilities, Ghebreyesus said, "We demand urgent, safe, and continuous access to humanitarian assistance."
