WHO: Health services reached 30 million people in 2025
Geneva, January 1 (Hibya) – The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that in 2025, within the scope of global emergencies, health services were provided to millions of people and thousands of health facilities were kept operational.
The WHO emphasized the critical role of health services in humanitarian crises worldwide and shared emergency data for 2025.
In its statement, the WHO noted that although emergencies vary in scale, health services lie at the center of every crisis, and warned that mothers, children and patients face life-threatening risks in regions with inadequate health infrastructure.
It was stated that with support provided through the “WHO Foundation,” the WHO delivered medical care in the field, trained local health teams and contributed to restoring the functionality of health systems.
According to the statement, the WHO reached approximately 30 million people affected by emergencies in 2025. Health teams ensured that more than 8,100 health facilities continued to provide services, and 1,370 mobile clinics were deployed in the field.
WHO data show that 47.3 million primary health care services were delivered, along with 1.7 million trauma treatments and 3.9 million mental health consultations. In the hardest-to-reach areas, 5.3 million children were vaccinated.
The World Health Organization highlighted the importance of international support to sustain global health services and issued a call for donations.
