Wong: All four Quad countries are ASEAN Comprehensive Strategic Partners
Manila, July 22 (Hibya) – Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong emphasized the importance of regional stability and cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) following the Quad Foreign Ministers' Meeting held in Manila, the capital of the Philippines.
Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong said she met with representatives of the Quad member countries in Manila to discuss regional issues.
Commenting on the scope of the meeting and relations with ASEAN, Wong said, "In Manila, I met with my Quad counterparts Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Toshimitsu Motegi and Marco Rubio to discuss how we can strengthen cooperation to support ASEAN centrality and regional stability."
