Wong: Cooperation with New Zealand has never been more important
Canberra, March 17 (Hibya) - Highlighting the importance of close cooperation between Australia and New Zealand at a time of growing global uncertainty, Australian Foreign Minister Senator Penny Wong hosted officials from both countries at the annual Australia-New Zealand Ministerial Consultations (ANZMIN).
Australian Foreign Minister Wong emphasized the importance of close cooperation with New Zealand in the face of increasing global uncertainties. Wong said, “At a time like this, working closely with New Zealand has never been more important.”
Minister Wong stated that together with Australian Defense Minister Richard Marles, they hosted New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters and Defense Minister Judith Collins as part of the annual ANZMIN meetings. During the meetings, regional security, defense cooperation, and strategic priorities of the two countries were discussed.
Wong noted that strengthening cooperation is critical for both regional stability and shared security.
