Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky attended the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue Summit. Zelensky visited the Republic of the Philippines and met with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. This marked the first-ever meeting between the two nations.

The Ukrainian leader expressed gratitude to the President of the Philippines for supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty and for endorsing important UN resolutions condemning Russian aggression.

Zelensky said, "I am very happy to be in your country for the first time. We are grateful for your clear and principled stance against Russian aggression towards our country."
