Zelensky: It is important that Japan and our other partners understand the risks posed by these attacks
Kyiv, October 1 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he held a productive meeting with members of Japan's House of Representatives, led by Itsunori Onodera.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that during these difficult days, as Russian Shahed attacks continue, it is important for representatives of partner countries to stand with Ukraine.
Zelensky said that on the same day, a Shahed drone targeted a school while classes were in session, attacks were carried out on Kyiv's South Bridge, and strikes on energy infrastructure continued. Zelensky said it is important for Japan and other partners to fully understand the risks posed by these attacks.
Noting the value of the economic and humanitarian support Japan has provided since the beginning of Russia's war, Zelensky said he discussed relations between the two countries in New York with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, as well as steps to strengthen the security of Ukraine, Japan and other democratic countries.
Zelensky said the parties agreed to maintain active communication.
