Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said efforts to repair the damage following Russia's attacks on Kyiv have been continuing since the morning. Noting that Russia used a large number of UAVs, Zelensky said civilian and critical infrastructure, including pharmaceutical facilities, gas stations, railways, communications infrastructure and shopping centers, continue to be targeted in the attacks.

According to information received so far, two people have been killed and 24 injured, Zelensky said, offering condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives. Zelensky also stated that attacks were carried out on various cities and settlements in eight regions.

Zelensky said they are working at every meeting held during the UN General Assembly to ensure continued support for Ukraine, adding that it is equally important to exert fair pressure on Russia through sanctions.

Zelensky said almost all of their partners agree that while the attacks and the war continue, this is not the time to show weakness.

Emphasizing that sanctions should show Russia and its oligarchs that the war must end, Zelensky said, “I thank everyone who supports Ukraine!”
