Zelensky: Thanks to the Kursk operation, a significant number of our people have been freed
Kyiv, October 21 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that a significant number of Ukrainians were freed thanks to the Kursk operation.
Zelensky held a meeting with Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Chief of General Staff Oleksandr Syrskyi, and Chief of General Staff Anatoliy Barhylevych.
The meeting focused on the front line, military objectives, upcoming steps, and everything necessary for the effective actions of fighters on the front lines.
Zelensky noted that Chief of General Staff Syrskyi provided a detailed report on the situation across all fronts and the fight against enemy attacks. "The Kursk operation was discussed separately; we are holding our positions and preventing the war from spreading to our territory," said Zelensky.
Zelensky added that instead of the buffer zone planned by Russia on Ukrainian territory, a buffer zone has been established on Russian territory near the border.
