Zelensky: The enemy launched more than 40 missiles of various types and 120 attack drones
Kyiv, July 19 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky provided information on casualties and injuries following Russia's overnight ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia carried out one of the largest ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv overnight, noting that most of the missiles were aimed at the capital.
Sharing the toll of the attack, Zelensky said, "As of now, one person has been reported killed and 16 others injured in Kyiv and the surrounding region. My condolences go out to all their families and loved ones. Everyone affected is receiving the necessary medical care."
Zelensky said emergency response operations were continuing at three locations with around 600 emergency responders involved, adding that relevant services were also operating in the Odesa region.
Referring to the weekly attack figures, Zelensky said, "In total, this week Russia used approximately 1,450 attack drones, more than 1,640 guided aerial bombs, and 99 missiles of various types against Ukraine."
Listing other affected regions, Zelensky added, "There were injuries in the Odesa and Zaporizhzhia regions, while damage was reported in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. This week, the Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Cherkasy regions also came under Russian attack."
