Ukrainian President Zelensky stated at the European leaders' meeting that the road to peace must start without any conditions.

Zelensky stressed that if Russia does not want this, strong pressure must be applied, saying: "Since Tuesday, a ceasefire proposal has been on the table. A full, unconditional ceasefire for 30 days, an American proposal."

He noted that Putin is lying when he says the ceasefire is too complicated, adding: "In reality, everything can be controlled, and we have discussed this with the Americans. The truth is that after the Jeddah talks, Putin prolonged the war for nearly a week. And he will continue to do so."
