Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made statements regarding developments in the Strait of Hormuz and issues of global security.

Zelensky stated that the United Nations Security Council has not been sufficiently effective in the face of current crises, saying: “The Strait of Hormuz must be open to all ships that support vital economic lines.”

He emphasized that closing global maritime routes is unacceptable and that threats to freedom of navigation put the security of many countries at risk.

Zelensky also drew attention to a similar situation in the Black Sea, stating that Ukraine is taking decisive steps to address such threats.

In his statement, Zelensky stressed that peace and security in the Middle East are critical for global stability and that the international community must act more effectively.
