Zelensky: We are synchronizing our pressure with global sanctions against Russia
Kyiv, May 1 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that they are generally synchronizing their sanction pressure with global sanctions imposed against Russia due to the war.
Zelensky noted that there is a report on sanction policies, saying: “The first package concerns 36 companies and 5 individuals operating not only in Russia but in various jurisdictions. In general, we are synchronizing our pressure with global sanctions against Russia because of the war.”
He said today’s second sanction package targets 106 entities actively supporting Russia’s presence in Crimea and the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, supplying materials to the occupation forces.
“The third package concerns 9 individuals, 7 of whom, unfortunately, are Ukrainian citizens. They align with Russian state propaganda, legitimize the war, and carry out information operations that harm Ukraine and our defense. I’ve also instructed the preparation of further sanction measures,” he added.
