Zelensky: We reached an agreement on Ukraine's financial and defense needs for 2026 and 2027
Kyiv, October 1 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that they had reached an agreement with the European Commission on the format, timetable and steps required to meet Ukraine's financial and defense needs in 2026 and 2027.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the talks held with the European Commission.
Zelensky said the talks had produced positive results regarding the fulfillment of Ukraine's financial and defense needs in 2026 and 2027. He stated that, within this framework, they had agreed on the format, timetable and steps required to ensure that these needs are fully met.
Zelensky said that the work would henceforth be carried out in a coordinated manner and that actions would be aligned every month, thanking European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European partners.
Zelensky also noted that they are working on new decisions that will strengthen Ukraine, its defense and its society.
