Albanese: Australia stands with Nepal
Canberra, September 4 (Hibya) – Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese spoke with Nepalese Prime Minister Shah and offered his condolences over the devastating floods and tsunami-like destruction in the country.
Albanese said in a statement, “Australia stands with Nepal and is providing support where it is needed most through humanitarian supplies, equipment and specialist capabilities.”
Stating that the loss of life and destruction caused by the disaster were deeply saddening, Albanese said efforts were continuing to locate Australians missing in Nepal. Albanese said, “Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of Australians who are still missing.”
