Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation Jose Manuel Albares criticized Russia's attack targeting the SBU headquarters in Kyiv, near Saint Sophia Cathedral, which is on UNESCO's World Heritage List.

Reacting to the attack, Albares said, “I strongly condemn Russia's attack on the central headquarters of the Security Service in Kyiv, near Saint Sophia Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site.”

Highlighting the consequences and nature of the attack, Albares said, “This attack is an unacceptable escalation. It is against civilians, heritage and peace.”
