Montenegro Prime Minister Milojko Spajic announced that expansion works and the construction of a new bridge have begun in Podgorica to ease the traffic congestion that has persisted for years.

Sharing details of the project, Spajic said, “Podgorica is getting a new bridge! After nearly 50 years, we are beginning the construction of two additional traffic lanes on Vojislavljevica Boulevard, namely a new bridge over the Moraca River, as well as the reconstruction of the existing bridge.”

Referring to the project's contribution to urban transportation, Spajic said, “In this way, we are solving another major problem in our capital, the traffic congestion that has made the daily lives of our citizens difficult for years.”

Providing information on the project’s timeline and cost, Spajic said, “I believe that within a year and a half, we will witness the completion of this major project worth seven million euros, and traffic in this part of the city will become much more accessible and safer for citizens.”
