Within the framework of the Munich Security Conference, Spanish Foreign Minister Albares met with Amnesty International Secretary General Agnes Callamard. During the meeting, the human rights situation was discussed and Spain’s commitment to human rights, international law, and multilateral cooperation was emphasized.

Minister Albares also reiterated his commitment to strengthening Ukraine’s energy system, which has been severely damaged by ongoing Russian attacks, and to supporting the country. Spain’s goal is also to contribute to achieving a global, just, and lasting peace. This message was also conveyed to Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
