Spanish Foreign Minister Albares condemned the attacks carried out against European countries in Iraq.

In his statement, Albares extended his condolences to France over the death of a French non-commissioned officer in the attacks and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

Stating that these attacks are unacceptable, Albares said, “These unjust attacks must end. They pose a threat to Iraq’s independence and sovereignty and put the entire region at risk.”

Albares also emphasized that Spain will continue, together with its partners, its commitment to combating the Islamic State (ISIS) and terrorism.
