Albares: The humanitarian situation in Gaza is catastrophic
Madrid, Jan. 2 (Hibya) — Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albares, said Spain will continue to work with the Palestinian Authority to support its financial sustainability and reform plan.
Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albares, said he met with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa.
Albares stated that he conveyed his full support for achieving lasting peace in Gaza and ending violence in the West Bank, noting that Spain will continue to work with the Palestinian Authority to support financial sustainability and the reform plan.
Saying that “tax revenues withheld by Israel must be returned,” Albares stressed that settlement expansion must be halted. He added: “The humanitarian situation in Gaza is catastrophic. Obstructing civil society organizations is unacceptable and further worsens the situation.”
