Madrid, December 27 (Hibya) – Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares welcomed the ceasefire between Thailand and Cambodia, reached through ASEAN mediation and entering into force today.

Stressing that the parties must respect it, Albares said: “In accordance with the UN Charter, the ASEAN Charter and the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, efforts should be made to resolve disputes peacefully.”
