Ali: Ethiopia is being built rapidly, social development is the cornerstone
Addis Ababa, April 28 (Hibya) – Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali stated in his speech at a consultative forum themed “Social Development for National Building” that investments in the social sector form the foundation of long-term development.
Ali participated in the consultative forum held under the theme “Social Development for National Building” and shared his assessments.
At the forum, recent progress in the social sector was discussed, and Abiy Ahmed Ali emphasized that, unlike physical infrastructure investments, the social sector may not yield immediate tangible results but constitutes the most critical basis for sustainable development.
Noting the existing challenges in the country, Abiy stated that Ethiopia is being built rapidly and stressed that despite limited resources, no effort has been lacking in improving any dimension of the social sector.
Highlighting the importance of public participation in achieving goals and turning them into lasting results, Abiy Ahmed Ali said, “Society must also take part as a stakeholder in the initiatives of the state,” calling for shared responsibility.
