Aliyev: Iranian officials must provide an explanation to Azerbaijan
Baku, March 5 (Hibya) – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev described the attacks targeting civilian facilities and educational institutions in Nakhchivan as a “despicable act of terrorism,” emphasizing that Iranian officials must immediately issue an official statement and apologize.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made a statement after Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles targeted civilian infrastructure on Azerbaijani territory.
Aliyev stated that those responsible for the attack must be held accountable before the law.
Addressing the authorities in Tehran, President Aliyev said: “The Azerbaijani state strongly condemns this despicable terrorist act, and those who carried it out must be held accountable immediately. Iranian officials must provide an explanation to the Azerbaijani side, apologize, and those responsible for this terrorist act must be held criminally liable.”
