Anand: Attacks on peaceful nuclear facilities are unacceptable
Ottawa, May 17 (Hibya) - Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand made statements following the drone attacks targeting the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Foreign Minister Anand stated that Canada stands with the UAE following the attacks, saying, “Targeting peaceful nuclear energy facilities is unacceptable.”
Anand also emphasized that International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) resolutions and international law prohibit such attacks. Stating that they fully support investigations into the attacks, Anand also called on the international community to condemn the incidents.
