Pakistan Prime Minister Sharif meets Iranian President Pezeshkian
Islamabad, June 23 (Hibya) - Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that he discussed bilateral relations and regional peace with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

In a statement regarding the meeting, during which he hosted Pezeshkian in Pakistan, Sharif said it was “the first meeting following the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and the first technical talks held in Bürgenstock.”
Sharif noted that Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir, and other senior officials were also present at the meeting, adding: “We reaffirmed our shared commitment to regional peace and the importance of resolving all issues through dialogue and diplomacy.”
Emphasizing that both sides agreed to further strengthen the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Iran, Sharif stated: “We agreed to expand cooperation across all areas of mutual interest.”
