Australian Foreign Minister Wong condemns Iran
Canberra, March 2 (Hibya) - Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong condemned Iran’s attacks against several countries in the region, stating that Australia stands in solidarity with the affected countries and continues her contacts with counterparts.
Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong made a statement regarding Iran’s military operations targeting civilian sites and infrastructure across the Middle East.
Wong drew attention to the scope of the attacks and shared details of Australia’s diplomatic initiatives.
In her statement, Minister Wong said:
"Australia condemns Iran's reckless attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, Cyprus and Israel. I am holding discussions with my counterparts in the region to express Australia’s solidarity and support."
