U.S. Ambassador to Ankara and Special Envoy for Syria Barrack said he was pleased to see the momentum created by the recent U.S.–Syria technology contacts held in Silicon Valley.

Noting that a concrete example of this is the new memorandum of understanding signed between Visa and Syrian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdulsalam Haykal, Barrack stated:

“When innovators, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and global leaders work together, the paths toward sustainable growth, digital inclusion, and shared prosperity become clearer. This development represents a promising step toward modernizing Syria’s digital economy and strengthening economic ties. I thank the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for helping facilitate these meaningful dialogues.”
