Berendsen: Passengers evacuated from Hondius are safely on their way
Amsterdam, May 10 (Hibya) - Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen announced that 26 passengers and crew members evacuated from the m/v Hondius, including 8 Dutch nationals, safely departed from Tenerife to the Netherlands.

Berendsen said they were pleased that the passengers were safe following a period of uncertainty, while the remaining crew members returned home through different routes. He stated that the operation was carried out thanks to the around-the-clock efforts of many parties, and he especially thanked the Spanish authorities and all involved partners.
