Bermudez: Cuba is not alone
Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez thanked tens of thousands of people who participated in demonstrations in various European cities against the tightening of the United States (US) embargo on Cuba, stating, “Cuba is not alone.”
Cuban President Bermudez made a statement regarding solidarity demonstrations held in various European capitals and cities against the US economic embargo on Cuba.
In a social media post, Diaz-Canel expressed his “deep gratitude” to tens of thousands of supporters who took part in the protests over the weekend.
The statement emphasized that the demonstrations opposing the “renewed tightening” of the US embargo are a strong sign of international solidarity with the Cuban people.
The Cuban leader stated that these actions “clearly show that Cuba is not alone,” reiterating the message.
The Cuban government has long described the US embargo as a policy that puts pressure on the country’s economy and violates international law.
