Bermudez: The U.S. military attack threat against Cuba was condemned
Havana, May 14 (Hibya) - Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez stated that military threats against Cuba and the fuel blockade were condemned as violations of international law during the BRICS Foreign Ministers meeting.
Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez made a statement regarding the diplomatic reactions voiced by the Foreign Minister on the BRICS platform.
Drawing attention to the interventionist policies of the United States, Bermudez said, "Our Foreign Minister condemned at the BRICS Foreign Ministers meeting the direct military attack threat by the United States against Cuba and the effects of the cruel fuel blockade imposed on the Cuban people."
Emphasizing the effects of these practices on global security, Bermudez described the situation as "growing threats to international peace and security and violations of international law, as well as universally accepted rules of international trade and freedom of navigation."
