Bukele: El Salvador ready to assist Colombia
San Salvador, August 10 (Hibya) - El Salvador President Nayib Bukele expressed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and to those injured following the powerful earthquake in Colombia, announcing that his country is ready to provide support with rescue and medical teams if needed.
El Salvador President Nayib Bukele made a statement following the powerful earthquake that struck Colombia in the morning.
Bukele said they are closely monitoring the consequences of the earthquake and sent a message of solidarity to the families of those who lost their lives, the injured and all Colombians going through difficult times.
Bukele noted that Colombia has emergency and rescue teams in the affected areas and said they have confidence in the teams' capacity to respond to the emergency.
Bukele said El Salvador is in contact with Colombia and is ready, if needed, to quickly send rescue teams, doctors, healthcare workers, medical supplies or any other necessary assistance.
