Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

In Iran, mass protests erupted in many cities in response to the deepening economic crisis, beginning on December 28 in the capital Tehran, quickly spreading nationwide and continuing to this day.

The protests that started in Tehran were driven by discontent over rising inflation, increasing food prices, and the severe depreciation of the Iranian rial. During the protests, many people were killed and injured.

Prime Minister Carney said reports of violence, arbitrary detentions, and intimidation methods used by the Iranian regime against its own people are extremely concerning.

Carney stated that Canada strongly condemns the killing of protesters and urges Iran to allow freedom of expression and the right to peaceful assembly without fear of retaliation.
